Knoebels and Dorney Park 2008

A group of pictures mostly taken at Knoebels. I just didn't feel like running around taking pictures on my first visit to Dorney Park for some reason. All pictures taken 7/16/2008.

Ray > Looking up at Knoebels' colorful Ferris Wheel. The ride is a used trailer-mount wheel that offers a LONG ride cycle.

Ray > Twister rises over the Crystal Pool, which would soon become packed with guests on this incredibly hot day.

Ray > The purple train rumbles into the powerful double helix of Twister.

Ray > Riders snapping away on the Flyers. I nearly spun around right in front of the ride operator who could apparently care less!

Ray > Two cars sit in the brake run/unload area of the yet-to-open Flying Turns. Maintenance guys were running the chain lifts at one point, so maybe we'll see this ride open sometime in the next year.

Ray > I've always liked this Frankenmuth-esque building that houses Knoebels main gift shop.

Ray > The Phoenix, a great but mildly-overrated coaster.

Ray > Super Round-Up through the trees. This was added in 2006 and like most rides, was purchased used from another park.

Ray > No false advertising here. Knoebels' Haunted House really is a scary little ride and is without question the best of its kind.
