Ray  > Travel > Classic Pics: Six Flags Worlds of Adventure (defunct)
A look back at the park that was too big for its own good and is now nothing more than a memory: the short-lived Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in Aurora, OH. (Note: all photos taken with disposable cameras)

Ray > Another look at X-Flight's vertical loop. Guests were lying on their backs during this particular element.
Ray > A nice overview of X-Flight as taken from the ride's entrance path. The ride is now operating at Kings Island in Cincinnati, OH where it is known as Firehawk.
Ray > A blurry look across the lake as taken from the Floating Bridge (when it was connected to the old Japanese Village Gift Shop). The Ferry Boats are at the left of the photo, Serial Thriller and Batman Knight Flight are in the center, and Raging Wolf Bobs can be seen at the far right.
Ray > Pretty much the same picture as the previous one, but less blurry.
Ray > Six Flags added a "zebra habitat" known as Base Camp Zebra to the walkway behind Raging Wolf Bobs. If you look closely, there are two zebras out wandering the "rugged savannah".
Ray > A horribly-framed look at Pirate's Flight (Zamperla), which was originally located at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ.
Ray > Looking at part of the Happy Harbor rides area, featuring Pirate's Flight at left, the Bounty (Chance Sea Dragon) in the center and the Boardwalk Typhoon (Eli Bridge Scrambler) at right.
Ray > I believe Jeff M. took this picture of the new-for-2003 Thriller Bees ride (Huss Bee-Bee). I think I was on the ride at the time. The ride was originally located at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, KY.
Ray > Also "new" in 2003 was Starfish (Chance Wipeout). The ride came from Six Flags Marine World (now Discovery Kingdom) with a dangerous past as one passenger was thrown from the ride during its days in California.
